What data we collect

If you create an account, we collect your email address, name (optional), and password (stored as a secure hash). We do not collect or store any personal health information (PHI).

All hospital waiting list data displayed on this platform is publicly available aggregate data published by the NTPF. It contains no information about individual patients.

How we use your data

  • To provide your account and saved preferences
  • To send alert notifications you have opted into

Our legal basis for processing your data is your consent, which you provide when creating an account. You may withdraw this consent at any time by deleting your account.

Third parties

We use Resend for email delivery. We do not process payments or share your data with payment providers.

Resend is a US-based service provider. Data transferred to the United States is protected under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Cookies

CareCompass only uses cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the service. No analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies are set.

  • Session cookie — keeps you signed in after authentication.
  • OAuth state & PKCE cookies — short-lived cookies used during Google sign-in to protect against cross-site request forgery; they are cleared automatically after sign-in completes.

Interactive maps on the site load tiles from OpenStreetMap. OpenStreetMap does not set cookies but receives your IP address when tiles are requested.

Data retention

You can delete your account at any time, which removes all your personal data, alerts, and saved comparisons.

GDPR

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data. Contact the author on LinkedIn for any data requests.

Right to lodge a complaint
